Baytowne Golf Club at Sandestin
Baytowne Golf Club in Sandestin boasts a 4.5 star ranking from Golf Digest. The challenging course design runs from the beach through to Choctawhatchee Bay, along with a series of elevation changes. Five sets of tees makes Baytowne playable for all levels. A bit less wind and water than the Links course, but still very picturesque. Originally designed in 1986 by Tom Jackson, he gave it a re-design in 2005, making Baytowne more popular than ever.
Baytowne is one of four courses in Sandestin Resort that includes: Burnt Pines, The Links and Raven Golf Club.

Course Description
The Baytowne course is 18 holes, par 71 and 6,805 yards, with a slope of 127. The fairways feature Bermuda Grass and the greens have Tifdwarf Grass. Tom Jackson was responsible for the original 1986 design and subsequent makeover in 2005. Baytowne shares a clubhouse with the Raven club at the Sandestin Resort.
The front nine at Baytowne heads toward the Village of Baytowne Wharf in a more urban setting. Expect to see winding tree-lined fairways with plenty of small lakes and ponds guarding the ever present bunkers which surround the greens. The back nine heads toward the Gulf of Mexico with the introduction of more elevated tees and undulated fairways. Hole 14 will undoubtedly be a memorable one, as it captures all the challenges of the course and delivers them in one tidy par 3.
