Condo &amp; Townhome Sales in Destin &amp; 30A


Overall, the first quarter in 2017 had favorable results with Gulf Coast townhomes up 17, and condos up 32, with Destin selling 28 more condo real estate than 2016. Townhome sales were huge in Fort Walton Beach (up 34) and Miramar/Sandestin (up 150).





Single-Family Home Sales in Destin &amp; 30A


Single-family homes on Florida's Gulf coast were up 9 in the first quarter 2017, with huge gains in 30A East (up 40), and Destin (up 23).





30A Luxury Home Sales


Rosemary Beach luxury home sales proved the front runner for 30A neighborhoods with an impressive 1st quarter result. Fourteen homes homes sold, an increase of 27 from 2016, and an average sale price of $2,686,250.


Watersound home sales were up 29 compared to the first quarter in 2016.


Alys Beach only had one sale, but it was substantial at $5,650,000





 


Waterfront Sales in Destin &amp; 30A


Waterfront homes and condos in Destin &amp; 30A were also popular this quarter. The market for Gulf front single-family homes increased by 137 with 19 sales, compared to just 8 sales the first quarter in 2016. Condo sales on the Gulf also were high with a 44 increase.


Harbor and bayfront townhomes more than doubled with 14 sales, compared to just 5 in 2016. Bayfront condos went up marginally by 12. 


Single-family homes on the harbor increased by 51, with 41 home sales, compared to 27 from the first quarter 2016.





 


Most Expensive Home &amp; Condo Sales for 2017


'Beluga' in Rosemary Beach - $12,500,000





The most expensive home sold for $12,500,000 in Rosemary Beach. &quot;Beluga&quot;, an iconic area landmark, is a 5-bedroom beachfront home measures 4,520 sq. ft. with a 600 sq. ft. carriage house. Assuming 2 side-by-side lots, the property has 115' of Gulf front with a panoramic view that extends as far as the eye can see.



Seaside Luxury Condo - $2,000,000





The most expensive condo went for $2,000,000 in Seaside. Situated in the heart of this trendy community, enjoy Gulf views while dining on the covered deck. The beach, swimming pools, tennis, shops and fine dining are right out your door.

        <title>Destin's Priciest Luxury Condos for 2017</title>

Luxury condo sales in Destin and the surrounding area are off to a brisk pace with over 100 sold in the first quarter of 2017. About half the condo sales went to buyers planning on using them as vacation rentals while the balance will be used as primary or second homes. The most expensive closed for $2,000,000 while the median price was $659,500. The average days on market were 187, with 28 selling in 1 month or less.







Updates on Popular Luxury Properties





One Water Place


One Water Place was red hot with a total 6 sales in the first quarter. Located in Kelly Plantation, One Water Place overlooks the Fred Couples championship course and Choctawhatchee Bay. With more amenities than any other condo in Destin, there is not much need to leave the property.





Silver Shells Resort


Condo sales in Silver Shells Resort, Destin included five properties in St. Barth, St. Croix, St. Lucia and St. Thomas. Silver Shells is a desirable location, tucked along the west border of Henderson State Park with 1,000 feet of sandy white beach. St. Thomas and St. Barth are the two most popular rental restricted complexes while St. Maarten and St. Croix make good vacation rentals. All buildings have access to the resort pool, tennis court, basketball courts, fitness center, and cardio room. 





Villa Coyoba


Villa Coyoba sold two condo residences, each over $1.1 million, and I think the only reason there weren't more is due to lack of inventory. Villa Coyoba is a desirable beachfront condominium in the heart of Crystal Beach. Spacious residences offer unobstructed Gulf views with every amenity at your doorstep.
