Just nine homes will be constructed in this exclusive, gated community in Santa Rosa Beach. Detailed rental projections are available for those considering an investment vacation rental. Two homes currently for sale, starting at $1,949,000.


Cypress Dunes


Pre-sales in the gated community of Cypress Dunes are underway. Prices start at $483,900.


Forest Lakes

Grayton Landing

1. Watersound

Here are the stats for the top selling condos in the Destin, 30A area from January to June, 2018. Compared to the same period in 2017, condo sales in Destin and the 30A have increased by 9 in the Number Sold, and 12 in Average Sale Price. Here are the Destin and 30A real estate stats for the period covering January to June 2018. You'll find a comparison to the same period last year.


  


2018 YTD Condo Sales for Destin &amp; 30A





Destin condo sales increased by 24 with a 5 increase in Average Sales. The new Henderson Lofts has really taken off with 34 sales during this time period. Holiday Surf &amp; Racquet, Silver Shells and Sterling Shores.


Condos in Miramar / Sandestin Resort showed a 21 increase in Number Sold and a substantial 20 Price Increase. Popular properties included Alerio, Amalfi Coast Resort, Ariel Dunes, Grand Dunes, Luau I &amp; II, Tides at Tops'l and Tops'l Beach Manor.


Condos in 30A East were slightly lower in number, -3 from last period, but prices have skyrocketed up 19. Several luxury condos, over the $1 million mark were sold in Watersound, Watercolor, and Rosemary Beach which pushed up the average sold prices.



2018 YTD Home Sales for Destin &amp; 30A





Single-family home sales in Destin and the 30A showed small gains in volume, but we did see considerable increases in the average sale prices. Fort Walton Beach is up 14, 30A West, Destin and Niceville were up 9.



2018 YTD Townhome Sales for Destin &amp; 30A





Townhomes in the Destin and 30A market had some substantial increases in the first half of 2018. Some of these included:30A East at 24 with an 18 increase in Average Sale Prices; plus 43 sales in the Prominence complex in Inlet Beach contributing to these numbers.



2018 YTD Beachfront Home Sales for Destin &amp; 30A





Single-Family beachfront home sales in Destin and 30A were fairly quiet with no huge gains. However, Miramar/Sandestin Resort showed a huge 70 increase in average sale price for the three homes sold in Shipwatch, Tang-O-Mar and the new Richards community.

The 16th Annual Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic in Destin, Florida set new records this year with increased participation and cash awards.


Quick Stats from the Blue Marlin Classic:


 of boats: 91  (36 in 2017, 85 in 2016)


Average Size: 60 feet


Cash Awards: $2,040,200 ($624,675 in 2017, $1,952,750 in 2016)


Surprise Winners


They're calling it David vs Goliath when describing the winners of this year's Blue Marlin Classic. A team of high school students borrowed a boat, and managed to catch a record-breaking blue marlin, weighing in at 699.2 pounds. Now the team is busy splitting $131,040 in prize money.


This was a win based on pure desire, the boys had no boat, no money, just a dream of competing in the Blue Marlin Classic. Doug Terreson from Alabama agreed to supply the boat,  a &quot; 48-foot Viking named &quot;Can't Deny It&quot;, plus the bait and fuel. The boys had to scrounge up the $6000 entry fee. Terreson and friend Keough acted as mate and skipper, the boys did the rest.


Final Results




1st Largest Marlin: 699.2 lbs


2nd Place: 665.2 lbs


3rd Place: 640.8 lbs
