This Destin real estate update gives you a snapshot of home, condo and land sales in Destin FL and the surrounding Emerald Coast areas for June, 2016.

Destin Home Sales

Destin real estate updateAlthough slightly down from May, Destin home sales in June 2016 reflected an active market with almost $23,000,000 in sales volume. The average price was $658,345 and houses closed at an impressive 93% of asking price. 708 single family homes were sold in the Emerald Coast area for a total volume of $285,426,540. The average sale price was $403,145 with homes selling an average 98% of their asking price.

Luxury homes were hot along Scenic 30A with the highest median home price at $2,475,000 in Alys Beach, followed by $1,522,500 in Rosemary Beach and $860,000 in Watersound.

Niceville was the star performer with 103 home sales averaging 98% of the asking price and only staying on the market an average of 66 days!

Most Expensive Home Sold: $10,250,000 for a beautiful Gulf front home in Rosemary Beach with 85 feet of waterfront that sold for 87% of the asking price.

Least Expensive Home Sold: $149,900 for an Inlet Beach home close to gulf and lake with over half an acre of property.

Destin Condo SalesDestin condo stats

Destin condo activity was good for June, with 43 sales at an average of $355,285, and 94% of asking price. There were a lot of happy condo sellers along 30A West, where the average days on market was a mere 51 days with an average selling price of $314,000.

Sandestin Resort was booming with 25 condo sales at an average price of $312,000 and 16 home sales averaging $505,500 a piece. Overall in the surrounding Destin area, a total of 178 condo units were sold, netting $61,611,368.

Most Expensive Condo Sold: $2,300,000 for a 4,300 square foot penthouse in Andante in Seacrest Beach. This was the 2nd residence sold in Andante in June.

Least Expensive Condo Sold: $105,000 for a studio apartment in the Village of South Walton, Inlet Beach. It was only on the market for 23 days.

Destin Land & Building Lots

137 land sales in the surrounding Destin area totaled $27,755,425 with an average sale price of $202,594. The percentage of list to sale price for land in Destin increased from 89% in May to 96%. Lots along 30A West list to sale percentage went from 69% to 95%! The highest median land price was $630,000 in 30A East and the lowest $90,000 in Miramar Beach.

Waterfront Properties

As usual, the demand for waterfront homes and condos in Destin and the surrounding area was huge, totaling just under $28 million for homes alone. In Destin, 23 Gulf front condos were sold and 12 in Okaloosa Island. The median price for a condo along 30A East was $1,081,250.
