Exploring Spring Real Estate Trends in Destin

It's springtime in Destin and we thought it was time for a April 2024 market update. Looking at Destin, Florida and the surrounding 30A, we're starting to see a spike in listing activity with a huge increase of homes and condos for sale in Destin, Miramar Beach and the surrounding areas. It seems that every week the collection of New Listings is growing.

Overall, real estate prices in Destin and 30A-East have increased and sales have remained close to or slightly lower than April, 2023. Sellers are beginning to list more and more, but buyers are still a bit apprehensive; perhaps waiting for a sign that mortgage rates will begin trending south. Average sales prices continue to increase (18%) YTD compared to the same time in 2021. The number of homes and condos sold are down slightly as buyers react to increasing interest rates and real estate prices. In spite of this, 2022 continues to be an active year for Destin and 30A real estate. Inventory levels are starting to increase, giving buyers more selection, and listings are selling close to their asking price.
