Trip Advisor has just released the winners for the 2016 Top 25 Beaches in the U.S. Four of the selected beaches were from our beautiful Emerald Coast!
Pensacola Beach
Pensacola Beach is located south of the actual town of Pensacola on the barrier island of Santa Rosa Island. Home to a large snowbird population in the winter, Pensacola Beach is also great for families. The bar and tourist scene is much tamer here, with nothing but miles of seashore to explore. Walk barefoot on the soft white beach and find out why Pensacola Beach has been nicknamed "the talking sands," due to the high quartz content.
Panama City Beach
With 27 miles of white sand and two State Parks Panama City Beach prides itself on expansive, clean beaches. Walk for miles along the shore, fish off the piers and then top the day off watching a spectacular sunset. Several artificial reefs make this a popular scuba and snorkeling destination.
Henderson Beach State Park
Henderson Beach State Park is a hidden gem among Emerald Coast beaches. Immerse yourself in unspoiled beauty and uncrowded beaches, adjacent to Crystal Beach and just minutes from downtown Destin. With over 6,000 feet of natural shoreline bordering the Gulf of Mexico, come for the day, or camp in one of the well-equipped sites.
Navarre Beach
Uncrowded beaches with emerald green Gulf water, Navarre Beach is the beach of choice for many locals. This is where you can slow down and renew your spirit by taking time to enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you. Go snorkeling or kayaking at the marine park, or fish from the longest pier on the coast. Navarre is one of ten beaches protected as a National Seashore.
