It's a flexible market satisfying a number of buyers from investors, permanent residents and retirees looking to downsize. A Destin townhome offers the low maintence benefits of a condo, but with the privacy and yard similar to a single-family home.

In 2019 the lowest price was $43,500 for an older townhome in Shalimar, and the highest sold price was $2,395,000 for a luxurious townhome in Alys Beach. Sizes average 1,562 square feet and the average selling price $331,762.

Destin & 30A Real Estate Stats - 1st Quarter 2018

Thinking of buying or listing a home or condo in Destin or along the 30A? The following stats show you the top selling markets, overall sales stats comparing the 1st quarter in 2017 vs 2017, and where we've seen the highest price increases.

  

2018 1st Quarter Condo Sales for Destin & 30A

Condos in the Destin and 30A area saw more substantial increases with a 21% gain overall in average condo prices. Several areas saw huge price increases including: 30A East (+71%), 30A West (+35%), Miramar/Sandestin Resort (+31%), and Niceville (+13%). There were 500 condos sold in the first quarter 2018 for an average 96% of list price.

The highest price condo sold was $2,200,000 in Sanctuary by the Sea.

2016 Top Selling Townhomes in Destin & 30A

There is no doubt that townhomes are one of the most sought after property types in Destin and 30A. In 2016, there were 363 townhomes sold in these areas with a total sales value of $136,828,304. The average sale price was $376,937, a whopping 12% increase from 2015. Townhomes averaged 98% of their asking price upon sale, and remained on the market about 93 days. The most expensive townhome in Santa Rosa Beach sold for $2,500,000, and the lowest price sold was $56,000 (which listed at $40k).

Why so popular now? We've seen a lot of new construction townhomes in desirable areas, and with a variety of price points. The mid-priced residences sold in Prominence at Inlet Beach and 125 Crystal Beach were flying off the shelves. Yet, the need for luxury…
