Some of the best golf course homes are right here in Destin, Niceville and along the Scenic Highway 30A. In Destin and the surrounding Emerald Coast, there were 70 golf course homes sold from January to the end of April in 2018. This included both single-family homes and townhomes.

The highest selling price was $2,200,000 for a 5,700 square foot home in Burnt Pine. The lowest price sale was $163,500 for a brick rancher in Country Club Estates, Fort Walton Beach.

Destin beach homeEarly visitors came to Destin to fish.  After all, we have plenty of snapper, grouper, amberjack, swordfish, tuna and other delicious species for everyone. I can only imagine these guys coming in from a long day of fishing, boxes full of fish, the turquoise waters glistening under their boat, and the beautiful and undisturbed white sandy beaches greeting them as they entered the East Pass. What a feeling that must have been!

Fast forward thirty years and we still have great fishing but the vacant sands have been filled with homes that are as diverse as its residents. We have beachfront homes in Destin, homes on golf courses, bayfront homes, homes with large lots, and patio homes just to name a few.
