Trees on the Coast dune fence project

Destin Real Estate Gives Back: Dune Fence Project

Trees on the Coast is a non-profit organization, founded in 2015, that focuses on preservation, beautification, planting trees and picking up trash in Okaloosa County, Florida. One of their current projects is installing dune fencing on Okaloosa Island. Dune fencing preserves our white sand beaches by forcing sand to accumulate in a desired place. These fences prevent erosion of the Emerald Coast's most valuable asset, our beaches.

A total of 161 new fences were built Friday by members of ECAR (Emerald Coast Association of Realtors) and Trees on the Coast. This is an ongoing project that will eventually cover three miles of beach. Niki Noblin, Candace Floyd, and Jade Zinger represented Destin Real Estate at this event.
