Pantone color of the year for 2019

In 1963, when Pantone launched the Pantone Matching System, with 500 colors, they couldn’t have known that they would eventually become a globally-recognized expert in the use of colors. Throughout the 1980s they continued to grow their brand, establishing the Pantone Color Institute, increasing their color palette, and introducing new color standards for a variety of industries.

In 2008 the company jumped into the stratosphere with the launch of the myPantone app for iPhone, which has since become Pantone Studio. Throughout their entire history, including changes in parent companies, Pantone has seen unstoppable growth.

The new millennium was ushered in with Pantone’s first color of the year, Cerulean, announced in 1999. From that point forward…
