It's been a busy spring for real estate in Destin, the 30A and surrounding Miramar Beach, Sandestin Resort, Niceville and Fort Walton Beach. We've got a good supply of inventory, but could always use more. Prices in most areas have increased since the same time in 2017 as well as the number of sales.

Here is a quick snapshot of 2018 year to date condo and single-family home sales and price increases in Destin and the 30A, along with the areas with top results. Whether you're buying or selling, this will give you an idea of where real estate is hot right now.

Year to Date Condo Stats for Destin & the 30A

Top Condo Sales

Condo sales were up 32% overall, with huge increases in most areas. Some of the top producers were:

  • 30A East: 49%
  • 30A West: 47%
  • Miramar/Sandestin Resort: 46%

Top Condo Price Increases

Average sale prices for condos were up 13% overall, which is a pretty tidy increase on investment. The biggest gains were in:

  • 30A East: 41%
  • 30A West: 29%
  • Miramar/Sandestin Resort: 24%

Top Home Sales

Sold volume for single-family homes was up 11% from the same time in 2017. The top producing areas were:

  • 30A West: 67%
  • Fort Walton Beach: 30%
  • Niceville: 27%

Top Home Price Increases

Average sale prices for single-family homes were up 3%. The largest increases were seen in:

  • Fort Walton Beach: 17%
  • Destin: 11%
  • 30A West: 10%
