There is no doubt that townhomes are one of the most sought after property types in Destin and 30A. In 2016, there were 363 townhomes sold in these areas with a total sales value of $136,828,304. The average sale price was $376,937, a whopping 12% increase from 2015. Townhomes averaged 98% of their asking price upon sale, and remained on the market about 93 days. The most expensive townhome in Santa Rosa Beach sold for $2,500,000, and the lowest price sold was $56,000 (which listed at $40k).

The average sale price was $421,496, about 4% higher than 2015.Destin and 30A Condos sold for 95% of their asking price in an average of 172 days. The highest price was $2,900,000 for a luxury 2-story condo in Andante in Seacrest; the lowest condo sold for $64,000 in Gulf Terrace.

2016 Was a Good Year for Destin Real Estate

Overall the Destin and Scenic 30A real estate market saw a 5% increase in the number of properties sold. Average sale prices also increased by 5% overall with the biggest gains in townhomes at 14%.

Destin & 30A Single-Family Homes 2016

Single-family home numbers increased by 6% with a 5% increase in average sale price. Homes remained on the market only an average of 101 days in 2016, compared to 110 in 2015.

We had a busier than average November for the Destin and Scenic 30A real estate market. There were 24% more homes and condos sold vs the same time last year. Properties took a little longer to sell, but real estate prices also increased substantially.

Condo prices increased 28% from November 2015, and single family home prices were 19% higher in November 2016.

Destin townhomes continue to be a huge draw for both mid-price and luxury buyers. Where else can you get a virtually maintenance-free home in a prime setting close to or directly on the beach. Here is the latest summary of the Destin real estate scene for September 2016. This gives you a snapshot of home, condo and land sales in Destin FL and the surrounding Emerald Coast.

Total residential sales for Destin and the surrounding towns were $267,488,702 with an average sale price of $432,830. Properties averaged only 123 days on the market with a closing price of 96% of the asking price. This was a robust September market, that sold more single-family homes and townhomes then the same time in 2015. Condo sales were down slightly, but prices increased 11%.

Strong September performing areas included:
