Easter Brunch in DestinIf you're looking for a more relaxing way to spend Easter, where someone else does the cooking, you might want to try out a sumptuous Easter brunch in Destin. It's usually a buffet, a bit pricey, but pretty much takes care of all your meals for the day. I imagine most of these places fill up pretty quick and require reservations. Coordinated by the Destin History and Fishing Museum, the parade is a Destin holiday favorite for all ages. Okaloosa County STUFF THE BUS EVENT - JULY 29, 2023

Give our kids a boost by helping them get the supplies they need for the school year. Stuff the Bus is a back to school supply drive held on July 29, 2023, from 8 am to 4 pm at three local Walmart locations. The timing is perfect to take advantage of Florida's tax-free weekend and add a few extra school supplies to your cart, or give a monetary donation so our local schools can utilize bulk discounts.

Destin Real Estate Gives Back: Dune Fence Project

Trees on the Coast is a non-profit organization, founded in 2015, that focuses on preservation, beautification, planting trees and picking up trash in Okaloosa County, Florida. One of their current projects is installing dune fencing on Okaloosa Island. Dune fencing preserves our white sand beaches by forcing sand to accumulate in a desired place. These fences prevent erosion of the Emerald Coast's most valuable asset, our beaches.

So it looks like the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic in Destin, Florida is a go for 2020. There will be a few changes, fewer or no public events, but still an exciting tournament for all to enjoy. Here is the official announcement as reported on fishecbc.com:

IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT UPDATE
The Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic will take place June 17th-21st. We’ve monitored the impact and regulations surrounding the Coronavirus and feel we can hold the tournament safely and responsibly with no social or public events and by asking our participants to follow social distancing and other health precautions.
